Traveling by car: the most dangerous countries for tourists with their own cars
Many tourists prefer to travel by car. The Swiftest insurance company has compiled a list of the most dangerous and safest countries in the world for drivers. Find out more about the countries included in the rating
Many travelers prefer to travel by car. Owning or renting a car guarantees absolute freedom of movement, eliminates the need for public transportation, and provides unforgettable emotions. At the same time, not all countries are safe for drivers.
The Swiftest insurance company has compiled an up-to-date rating of the most dangerous countries for foreign drivers. Which countries are on the list?
The rating was based on traffic statistics from 50 popular tourist destinations. The company analyzed the factors of social welfare, infrastructure and security of the countries. In addition, the frequency of fatalities per 100 thousand local residents was taken into account.
Countries were rated on a scale from A+ (safest) to F (most dangerous).
Which region is the most dangerous for traveling by car?
Western countries are safe because they have a well-developed road system and clear traffic rules - it is easy for tourists to get to most places. The same cannot be said about eastern destinations.
It should be added that it is in the eastern regions that the need to rent a car is greatest. In most countries, public transportation infrastructure is weak, so there is a need to have your own transportation.
