What do I need to come to the country to get higher education?
If you are going to organize a trip to Poland on your own, without intermediary companies, then first you need to find and choose a university to study at.
The list of Polish universities with all faculties and specialties can be found on the website of the Ministry of Education of Poland - https://bnt.ipn.gov.pl/.
Feel at home in any country in the world! Protect yourself from unforeseen expenses and situations during your trip by taking out reliable insurance for international students.
After choosing a university and specialty, take the following steps:
1. On the page of the chosen university or on the Ministry of Education of Poland website, find the contacts of the department that accepts foreign students. Find out about their admission requirements, availability of places, study details and other important information.
2. Prepare a package of necessary documents to submit to the university. The main documents are as follows:
- application for admission to the university (the form is set by the university itself);
- certificate of general secondary education (certificate) and its supplement;
- an applicant's questionnaire, which the university provides for filling out;
- high-quality photos in color 3.5*4.5 cm (some universities have their own requirements for the size and number of photos);
- medical certificate with translation confirming the medical examination;
- copies of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine, identification code;
- foreign passport and a copy of the first page;
- birth certificate and its translation;
- receipts confirming payment for training;
- insurance policy;
- a copy of the visa;
- certificates of proficiency in Polish and English.
Please note! Each university may have its own list of required documents and additional requirements.
З. If the university has confirmed that you have been enrolled, pay the tuition fee. You can check the necessary information and details at the university where you are going to study. Usually, tuition is paid a year in advance.
4. Next, the educational institution must send you a study permit. Once you receive confirmation, you can safely submit all the documents for a student visa. To do this, you will additionally need to have permission from the university and a payment receipt.
5. Foreign applicants first apply for a national D visa, which is valid for six months or 12 months. Then you only need to extend it.
It is worth remembering that you should not delay your decision and choice of a Polish university. After all, the flow of foreign students to the country is increasing every year, so university places are quickly filled.
